ABOUT SAMANTHA

THE WOMAN BEHIND THE CAMERA.

Hi, I’m Samantha.

I’m a photographer, artist, storyteller, dog lover, wife and mom -and I believe the photographs we keep are some of the most meaningful things we leave behind.

I’m drawn to the quiet moments, the genuine connection and all the little in-between things that make your people yours.

My work is rooted in creating photographs that feel beautiful without feeling overly posed., and an experience that feels just as meaningful as the images you take home.

WHY I PHOTOGRAPH

THE OLDER I GET, THE MORE I UNDERSTAND HOW QUICKLY IT ALL GOES.

There was a time when I thought photographs were mostly about remembering what something looked like.

Becoming a mom changed that for me.

Now I think about the photographs we reach for years later -the ones that remind us of a laugh, the way someone held your hand, how small your children once were, or what it felt like to have everyone together.

That’s what I want to create for you.

No photographs that simply document a moment, but photographs that bring you back to it.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

BEHIND THE CAMERA, I’M JUST SAMANTHA.

I’m happiest when life feels simple.

Coffee in the morning. A good playlist or re -runs of Gilmore Girls. Time at home. My dog underfoot. A camera nearby. And, these days, watching my little one discover the world for the first time.

I’m a big believer in finding beauty in the ordinary -and I think that’s probably why I’m so drawn to photographing people as they actually are.

The messy moments. The belly laughs. The quiet ones. All of it.

THE WAY I SEE IT

BEAUTIFUL DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN PERFECT.

I’m not interested in creating photographs that look like everyone else’s.

I want your photographs to feel like your life -only beautifully preserved.

That means there is room for movement. For laughter. For a child who won’t sit still. For the way you naturally reach for each other.

I’ll guide you when you need it, but I’ll never ask you to become someone you’re not just because there’s a camera in the room.

WHEN I’M NOT PHOTOGRAPHING PEOPLE

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS.

HOME

Slow mornings, old houses, good music and making our space feel like us.

Louise is usually somewhere nearby, while Walter and Gilmore remain a special part of my story. Losing them made me appreciate even more how quickly the everyday moments become the memories we hold onto.

MY DOGS

Coffee, road trips, beautiful light, flowers, antiquing, a good TV show, and any excuse to spend time with my family.

THE LITTLE THINGS

NOW THAT YOU KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR STORY

Whether you’re planning a wedding, welcoming a new chapter, or simply wanting to remember this season of your life, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
