We’re ready to book! What are the next steps?

I am so excited to work with you! First, send me an inquiry through my contact form, or email. Once we’ve chatted and determined the best package for you session, I will send you a proposal which will include both your contract and invoice. Once you have signed the contract and paid the deposit, you’ll be officially booked!

How far in advance should we book our wedding?

ASAP! Most weddings book about 12-18 months in advance. Fall and Spring/Early Summer go fast in Ohio.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, Check, online transfer through Honeybook, Venmo (@SamanthaJ91) and/or paypal (samanthabphotography@gmail.com).

How will you deliver our photos?

Your photos will be delivered via a private (password protected) online gallery called Pixieset where you can download both high resolution and web size photos, share to social media or with friends/family and even purchase prints and other items!

How many photos will we get?

I deliver every single photo that I edit, but not every single photo that I take. On average, the final edited gallery for an 8 hour wedding day usually is 800+ photos. That is larger than many in the industry. Honestly, the final image count depends on how much “action” happens on your wedding day, the number of formal portraits, schedule, etc.

For sessions, the final edited gallery for 1 hour is 100+.

When will we get the edited photos?

The turnaround time for the edited wedding gallery is around 6-8 weeks.

The turnaround time for couple and family sessions 3-4 weeks.

Do you provide the raw, unedited files?

Unfortunately, no. The raw, unedited files are not included or typically delivered. Any photos that are not edited or delivered are either redundant (exact duplicates) or outtakes - like out of focus images, test shots, unflattering images (blinkers), random shots of my shoes, etc.

How much is the deposit to book?

In order to book, I require a non-refundable retainer fee of 30% of package price. This along with a signed contract will secure your date, and I will turn away all other potential weddings or business inquires for your date.

Do you charge any travel fees?

Yes. If your wedding or session is more than 90 miles form Columbus, Ohio a travel fee will be added.This fee will be communicated ahead of time and added to your invoice.

Have you shot at my venue before?

More often than not, the photos in my portfolio are my first time working at that specific venue. I always arrive 15-30 minutes early on the day to familiarize myself with the grounds and take note of any potential locations that would be good for couple portraits and family formals.

I also always arrive prepared for any lighting situations-using my own lighting if necessary.
